French Fry Box Project

I just love giving gifts to the kids’ teachers at Christmas…usually it’s a gift card. But I like to give them some little treats to go with it. This year they will be getting their gift cards in a French Fry Box 🙂

I created this cute little template for a French Fry Box that is so easy to customize for your own style.  I used a fantastic kit from Snips and Snails called “Hark The Angels” to make this more elegant look.

My CT had fun with it, too!

Here are the step-by-steps!

After you have designed your box, reduce the opacity of the cut and score lines to about 15-20% depending on how dark or patterned your paper is, then print it out.  I recommend using a card stock or matte photo paper for this one since you will want it pretty sturdy.

Then gather your supplies: your printed box, cutting tool of some sort (scissors is probably easiest for this one), some adhesive (glue stick is fine for this one), a scoring tool, ink for the edges if you want.

Cut out your box and score your lines for folding. The bottom needs to be rounded to give it the right shape, so carefully follow the curved dashed lines.

Fold the box, creasing the straight lines with a bone folder, if you have one, or the edge of a smooth object. Gently fold the rounded bottom section.

Next apply adhesive to the glue strips on the right and left sides of the front.

Fold the sides so that the adhesive is on the inside of the two side panels.

I created a second “back panel” to add in to the back of the box so it doesn’t look white. So I applied adhesive to the extra back panel and slid it into place.

Fill your box with goodies and add a ribbon or bow and you are set!

You can find this template along with many more at my store at Brownie Scraps.

I’m also releasing a set of Tag Templates.  Great for making tags for your layouts or to add a little something extra to a gift.
