A Christmas Gift for You

Hey, there, Snickels Corner Craft fans! It’s Christmas time and I love giving gifts so I made a little freebie template for y’all.  And no, I’m not getting back into designing, I just decided that since I had created the files to make this cute ornament I might as well share it!

This is a fun little ornament gift card/cash holder.  I put it together really fast, so there is no preview of the files, just an example of what it could look like.  I made this one using a cute little kit from Kristin Aagard called December 25th.  The download includes the envelope, the front and back of the ornament and the tab.

You can find the download HERE.  It includes PSDs, TIFs, and PNGs.

I hope you enjoy it…I’d love to see any creations you make with it, just leave a link in the comments!!

May this time of celebrating the birth of our Savior fill you with peace and joy! Until next time…

Three More This Week

I’m loving my new releases again this week! I have three new products and I don’t know where to start, lol!

Let’s start with another fun Gift Card holder.  Have I ever mentioned how much I love giving and receiving gift cards, haha!?! I just absolutely love them and so this is my fourth product to give them in style!!!  This one is a little matchbox style.

Here’s one from Bonnie

The next new release is a name badge album.  I’ve been making these for my mother and mother-in-law for years. It’s perfect for their purse when someone asks them about their grandkids!  I like to send them for Mother’s Day.  Of course I keep one in my purse, too 🙂

Last is a fun little Library Pocket template that can be used for so many different projects.  I used it for our spring break activities.  We have three different categories with 5 ideas in each category. The goal is that we will pick one out of each category each day of break and do whatever the slip says!

Don’t forget about the Luck of the Layout contest going on at Brownie Scraps…you could win a free template from me, just for uploading a picture of your project to my gallery!

And I have that cute as can be egg-stand for your colored Easter Eggs…its free on my Facebook page.

A busy week with 3 new releases!

I’ve been working like crazy to get new things out to you all! This week I have three projects that I am just in love with!

First is a cute little Easy Basket that you could use to give a little Easter gift to someone special.

Next is a fun and SUPER EASY Pocket Envelope for a Gift Card.

Finally, I have another idea for gift-giving, the Sour Cream Tube 🙂

Don’t forget about the Luck of the Layout contest going on at Brownie Scraps…you could win a free template from me, just for uploading a picture of your project to my gallery!

And I have that cute as can be egg-stand for your colored Easter Eggs…its free on my Facebook page.

It’s recorded so you can still listen in and get all the details when you sign up for the Workshop.  We’ve also got our first contest going on…watch my Facebook page to see which of the participants wins their choice of my new releases this week.

Finally, I have a fun little freebie to give you today.  It’s an egg stand for your decorated Easter eggs.

SCC_EggStand_Preview

I found a ton on new ideas for decorating eggs…where else, but on Pinterest…and thought this year my family might have a decorating contest. I am going to make these stands that say “brightest egg”, “silliest egg”  and “most creative egg”, etc. and we’ll vote for the egg that best fits each “award” and then set the egg on its pedestal 🙂  Does your family decorate Easter eggs?  What’s your favorite method to dye them?

A departure…

Today’s releases are a departure from my normal releases.  They are all add-on packs to my March workshop A Peek At Our Week.

I’m so excited for the workshop, I have a few fabulous girls signed up and we are going to create an album that will be a treasure for their families today and for generations to come!  I wish I had more than just a few photos of my parents as kids. I wish I could see what their school looked like, what a typical day looked like, what my grandparents looked like as they sat around the dinner table as a family. That is what a Peek At Our Week is all about. It’s about capturing the typical, normal, mundane things that we take for granted today, but in 20, 50, 100 years our families will long to know.

I remember when my daughter figured out what that funny little box at the end of my parents’ driveway was…a mailbox! She had only known our big industrial-sized mailbox down the street and around the corner. She thought it was so cool just to walk down the driveway and get the mail 🙂  I wonder what her children will say some day about my industrial-sized mailbox, they may not even know what “snail mail” is in 15 years!!  So I want to make sure that I capture that ordinary, mundane, typical experience of 2013.  And this workshop is the way to do it!!

It’s not too late to jump in and join us in creating your own treasured keepsake.

And now to the new add-ons! These are designed to help you put your week’s worth of photos into an album so quickly and easily.

Here is a layout that Brownie Supreme Sheila did using one of the quotes. So even if you aren’t doing A Peek At Our Week, you can use any of these packs on your regular layouts.

I still have my referral program going for the workshop. You can earn up to 5 of these add-on packs** simply by signing up for the workshop and referring up to 5 friends to join you on the adventure!

Here’s a look at a page from last year’s week in the life project.  And hop on over to my facebook page where I’ve uploaded several more.

So until next time…
**to receive your free add-on packs for referrals, you must be a registered participant in the workshop first and the friend(s) you refer must put your name, or forum username, in the comments field when they purchase their workshop.

Loving Inspiration Blog Hop

Brownie Scraps is kicking off our Customer Appreciation Days with a Loving Inspiration Blog Hop. It’s so exciting because the designers get to love on their teams and the Brownie Supremes as we share some of our favorite products. But before I jump in to my spotlight, let me tell you about the other great fun we’re having this weekend!

The Scavenger Hunt is going to be so much fun. You’ll get a list of things to look for on layouts in the gallery and when you find them you leave some love!  3 lucky players will win an amazing GC.

We are also having a sale!!!  The more you buy the more you save! If you buy 3 template packs you’ll get them for just $1 each! And that includes one of my favorite releases-the Spin Card.

It’s honestly so easy to make! And you could make so many different themes with it.

My CT and the Supremes loved it too.  Here’s are two cute Happy New Years cards from Martina and Helen.

Christina made this sunshiney, happy day card that I think is just so adorable!

And she also make this too cute Valentine’s Day card!

And here’s a closer look of the card I made as a thank you card.

We’ve had so much fun with it and I think you will too!  Again, you can pick it up for just $1 when you buy at least three templates in the store.

As always, I love to see your creations with my products. Upload a picture of your project to my gallery at Brownie Scraps for your chance at a RAK!

I hope you’ve enjoyed your hop through our loving inspiration! Here’s the complete list in case you missed one of our great designers at Brownie Scraps.

Birthday Bash!

I love this time of year because it’s birthday season here at the Nickels’ household. Aaron is getting too old for the cutesy themed party supplies at the party store, he wants his party to reflect his style. Ah, yes…scrapbook stash to the rescue! Here’s the invitation and thank you note set I’ll be using this year.

Invite and Thank You

Here’s the invitation I made for Aaron’s party. I loved the way his face lit up when he saw it, he thought it was just perfect!

Now I have to admit, I’m running a bit behind…I’ve made the banner, but I haven’t printed it out yet. You’ll have to just picture the banner, the preview below gives you a glimpse.

Banner v2

I have however, printed out the cupcake wraps…do you see where my priorities are, lol!!!!
Cupcake Wrapper

In case you’re wondering, I used two coordinating kits for his party supplies, Dude from Litabelle Designs and Boyz Only from LDrag Designs.

The great thing about templates is that I can use them for my birthday party supplies, but you can use them for whatever you need them for!  Bonnie from my CT used the banner templates to make a fun little Valentine’s Day banner to decorate for her kids’ party.

And she made some cute little cupcake wrappers, too!

I also used a new kit from Snips and Snails Designs and Digilicious Designs called Warm Hearts to make some Valentine’s Day cupcake wrappers for my kids and DH, just to let them know I love them!

So whether it’s a birthday, a holiday or just because these birthday bash products are great for letting those around you know how special you think they are!

Do you want the whole set? I’ve got it bundled for a great price!

I always love seeing your projects with my products. Upload your projects to my gallery at Brownie Scraps for your chance at a RAK!

Next week I have a very fun announcement, make sure you look for your chance to get in on it! A little hint you ask…okay, okay, let’s just say that I can’t stick with Project Life, but I can capture a little peek at my life!

And don’t forget that I am conducting a CT Call!  I’m looking to add a couple more people to my team. I have pretty easy requirements and you typically get a hold of the products 2 weeks before they are released! I can’t wait to hear from you!!

CT Call

Until next time…
