A Christmas Gift for You

Hey, there, Snickels Corner Craft fans! It’s Christmas time and I love giving gifts so I made a little freebie template for y’all.  And no, I’m not getting back into designing, I just decided that since I had created the files to make this cute ornament I might as well share it!

This is a fun little ornament gift card/cash holder.  I put it together really fast, so there is no preview of the files, just an example of what it could look like.  I made this one using a cute little kit from Kristin Aagard called December 25th.  The download includes the envelope, the front and back of the ornament and the tab.

You can find the download HERE.  It includes PSDs, TIFs, and PNGs.

I hope you enjoy it…I’d love to see any creations you make with it, just leave a link in the comments!!

May this time of celebrating the birth of our Savior fill you with peace and joy! Until next time…

I have a fun new little album out this week.  It’s perfect for photos, as a journal or even an autograph book!

The great thing about this album is that you can add as many pages as you want. You can design your inside pages and print them out already done, or you can put blank paper in and design that way.

Didn’t my CT do a fabulous job with this album!!!

Also out this week is the March Subway Art.

And don’t forget you have just one more week to get a FREE add-on pack when you sign up to be a part of the March workshop A Peek At Our Week.*  A Peek At Our Week is like Project Life or P365 condensed into just 7 days…so ANYONE can get it done.  How do I know…because I did it and honestly I’m just not one to stick with a project.  So I know if I can do it, anyone can!!!  Sign up today to capture your life (the good, the bad and the ugly, lol) in just 7 days.

And did I mention that we’ll be having some contests with fun prizes all month long!?!?!   And you can refer a friend or two or five 🙂 and receive more free add-on packs.
Finally, I’m still looking to add a couple more people to my team. I have pretty easy requirements and you typically get a hold of the products 2 weeks before they are released! I can’t wait to hear from you!!

CT Call

*Templates, worksheets and forum access will be available on March 1st.
**to receive your free add-on packs for referrals, you must be a registered participant in the workshop first and the friend(s) you refer must put your name, or forum username, in the comments field when they purchase their workshop.

Until next time…

Valentine’s Day ideas

Get ready for Valentine’s Day!

We’re just 2 weeks away from Valentine’s Day, are you getting ready? Last week I introduced the February Subway Art and a fun telescoping card to send to your sweetheart. This week I have a great little coupon book to give to someone special.

Coupon book

The download for the coupon book includes five different file types.  You’ll find .PSD, .TIF and .PNGs to use in your design programs to pretty up the card. Then you’ll find an SVG file so you can cut it out using your electronic cutting systems!  I also include an outline of each piece of the book in a .PDF so you could print them out onto a plain sheet of cardstock and add your own physical supplies to embellish the book.

Here’s a look at one of my coupon books.  I used the kit “PS I Love You” from Memory Clips by Ramona to make this one.
Feb 1st release

And here’s the freebie you’ll find on my Facebook page!

Feb 1st release

And here are a few more ideas that you could put together for someone special.

telescoping card

How about a spin card with a heart instead of the circle, with the sentiment… “You make my heart spin”.

The dispenser box would also be a fun way to give some Valentine’s Day coupons (or cash, everyone loves a little cash).

How about giving a little bag of candy with a fun Valentine’s Day topper on it!?!

Or fill up a treat box with candies or cookies…

I always love seeing your projects with my products. Upload your Valentine’s Day projects to my gallery at Brownie Scraps for your chance at a RAK!

And don’t forget that I am conducting a CT Call!  I’m looking to add a couple more people to my team. I have pretty easy requirements and you typically get a hold of the products 2 weeks before they are released! I can’t wait to hear from you!!

Call Me Maybe…

Do you carry your business cards or mommy cards in your purse only to pull one out to give to a new friend and realize the card looks a little dog-eared? Well, you can make this little box to carry your cards in and put an end to dog-eared cards!

gift card 2

Of course, you can see that it was originally intended to be a gift card box…but isn’t that the best thing about templates!!! You can use them for whatever your heart desires!  I made gift card holders for my Mom and Dad’s gifts this year for Christmas as you can see in the preview and here’s my business card holder.

I was thinking that I might like to make one for all of the “store loyalty cards” I have. I have two or three in every slot in my wallet and it might be nice to put them all in a little box instead.

Here are a couple more examples from my CT:

What would you put in a little box like this?

Have you gotten the Shape Stacker Freebies on my Facebook page and in the newsletter I send out weekly?

I also did a little scrapping this week, but that will be for another post later on 🙂

So until next time…

Another fun Gift idea!

How are your Christmas preparations coming along?  I have to say that I am maybe half-way done with all the stuff on my list. Which is quite sad because I’ve been working on the list for about 3 weeks. Now I don’t claim to be a stellar mathematician, but even I can figure out that if I spent 3 weeks on the first half of the list, 10 days is not enough to get through the second half, lol!  Hopefully adrenalin will kick in and I will somehow get it all done!

But one gift that is done is a box that I made for my niece with some money in it.

Doesn’t it look like fun? She’ll start pulling and just have to keep pulling and pulling!!!  I used lots of $1s and $5s so the roll is huge!

You can make one as well, with my newest release at Brownie Scraps!

And here’s one with a kit from Snips and Snails called Retro Claus!

This one is so easy to put together, but here’s a little bit of a tutorial!  As usual, gather up your materials! Use a pair of scissors or straight-edge and x-acto knife to cut out the box and the little slit for the money to slide through.

Score your fold lines with a bone folder and smooth your lines with the edge of the bone folder.

Add adhesive to the glue flap on the right edge.  Fold the box, line up the edges and press to adhere.

Here’s the one tricky part.  To finish the bottom, put adhesive on the tab as shown in the photo.

Then fold the U-shaped flap in first, then the two side flaps. Finally slide the glued flap underneath the U-shaped part. From the top, reach in and smooth the bottom and press to adhere.

And there you have it! A dispenser box!  You can put anything rolled up in there. I was thinking that a list of jokes would be fun to put in a child’s stocking.

And did you see the little UPC code I put on the back of the box?  Those are still free on my blog!

I hope you saw my blog post earlier this week on all the fun Last-minute Homemade Gifts you can make using templates from Snickels Corner Crafts!

Until next time…

Last-Minute Homemade Gifts

Do you have friends or family members that are difficult to buy for? They have everything they need or want, so whatever you decide on has to be unique! Going to a holiday party and need a gift for an exchange?  Here are just a few ideas for homemade gifts that come together so quickly with templates from Snickels Corner Crafts.

Need something for Grandma? I don’t know many Grandmas that don’t love to show off their grandkids and this little matchbook album is the perfect way to do it!

Here’s are some great gift ideas for neighbors or friends or Grandparents or for your spouse’s desk at work 🙂

Here’s another one you can make pretty generic to give to someone at an office party or personalize it to give to family.

Stacy Martina

Planning to give some goodies to friends or neighbors? Put them in a French Fry box to make the recipient smile!

Or in a little box with a handle on it!  Or in a bag with a cute little topper!

Bringing a bottle of wine to a party? Here’s a way to quickly dress it up to match the festive mood of the party 🙂

Do you have a teen on your list? I’ve found that money is the universal gift…but you don’t want to give them just plain ‘ol money. No, package it up in a fun way!

This box template will be available on Friday, December 14th

Or give a gift card, in a pretty little card!

I hope these ideas have inspired you to give a homemade gift this year!

On the 9th Day of Christmas…

Snickels Corner Crafts had a sale!!!  I’ve been so looking forward to this day…I’m the Featured Designer at Brownie Scraps today during our 12 Days of Christmas special. And I have some fun things in store for you!

First up, I have a sale…when you buy 3 or more Snickels Corner Crafts templates you will get them for just $1 each! It does not include bundles or custom orders…but everything else, all the albums, boxes, bags, printables, etc. will all be included in the sale. Just put three or more templates in your cart and when you check out they will be $1 each.

Then, if you spend $5 in the store (any mix of designers) you will get my 5×7 calendar template for FREE!  This calendar is perfect to slip into an acrylic frame and set beside your computer, your phone, even in the bathroom 🙂

5x7 calendar

I made several of these to give as gifts this year. I made several copies of the one in the preview to give to my favorite neighbors.  Here are some more from me, the Supremes and my CT.

I also have another new release today…Wine Bottle Tags!

Wine Bottle Tags

These are perfect for adding a touch of elegance or whimsy when you give a bottle of wine as a gift this holiday season. Not giving wine? They also work for bottles of soda! I’ve seen some cute ideas out there, give a bottle of Sprite and write “Hope your Holiday is merry and SPRITE” or “We’re ROOTing for you to have a happy holiday” on a bottle of Root Beer. So fun, huh?

Here are a couple that my CTM Martina put together!

I also have a guest post on customizing these tags over on the Snips and Snails Designs blog. Check it out!

I’m also giving a coupon to the first 9 people who purchase Snickels Corner Crafts templates today only! So hurry over so you can get a bonus coupon!!!

And last, but not least, I’ve got a Christmas Card Album FREEBIE. What is a Christmas Card Album, you ask? It’s a fun way to keep track of all the cards, letters and photos you get each Christmas.

I love to look back through old Christmas photos to see how my friends’ families have changed through the years. And rather than trying to keep them together in envelopes or just thrown in a box, I’ve created an album cover and two tabbed inside pages (which can be flipped to make a total of 4 tabbed inside pages) so you can keep all your photos, letters and cards together and easily remember what year they are from.

Christmas Card Album

Here is my album from last year’s cards…I’ve just added some ribbon to bind them. But you could use binder rings as well.

Here’s a look at the inside.

CTM Helen is using the templates to make an album chronicling their Advent Adventures.

Aren’t those just the cutest? That will be a fabulous keepsake for her kids. You could use these templates to make your December Daily album as well.

So, how do you get the templates???  Glad you asked! The cover can be downloaded right HERE from my blog {link expired}. The first tabbed page is on my Facebook page, just “like” my page to grab it. The 2nd tabbed page will be sent out in my newsletter on Friday, so be sure to sign up to receive my newsletter HERE or over on the left sidebar.
