A Christmas Gift for You

Hey, there, Snickels Corner Craft fans! It’s Christmas time and I love giving gifts so I made a little freebie template for y’all.  And no, I’m not getting back into designing, I just decided that since I had created the files to make this cute ornament I might as well share it!

This is a fun little ornament gift card/cash holder.  I put it together really fast, so there is no preview of the files, just an example of what it could look like.  I made this one using a cute little kit from Kristin Aagard called December 25th.  The download includes the envelope, the front and back of the ornament and the tab.

My last new releases

It is with a tear in my eye that I announce that Snickels Corner Crafts will be closing up shop.  With the Brownie Scraps store closing, I will be “retiring” from designing. Although I’m not sure you can retire from a job you only held for 6 months 😉

I do have two new releases this week. First is the April Subway Art.

And the second is another envelope template that works for all quarter-folded cards (5.5 x 4.25).

Three More This Week

I’m loving my new releases again this week! I have three new products and I don’t know where to start, lol!

Let’s start with another fun Gift Card holder.  Have I ever mentioned how much I love giving and receiving gift cards, haha!?! I just absolutely love them and so this is my fourth product to give them in style!!!  This one is a little matchbox style.

The next new release is a name badge album.  I’ve been making these for my mother and mother-in-law for years. It’s perfect for their purse when someone asks them about their grandkids!  I like to send them for Mother’s Day.  Of course I keep one in my purse, too 🙂

Last is a fun little Library Pocket template that can be used for so many different projects.  I used it for our spring break activities.  We have three different categories with 5 ideas in each category. The goal is that we will pick one out of each category each day of break and do whatever the slip says!

A busy week with 3 new releases!

I’ve been working like crazy to get new things out to you all! This week I have three projects that I am just in love with!

Time for Take-Out and a Freebie

Today I have two new releases and a lot of other stuff to tell you about! So let’s get right to it!!!

Finally, I have a fun little freebie to give you today.  It’s an egg stand for your decorated Easter eggs.

I found a ton on new ideas for decorating eggs…where else, but on Pinterest…and thought this year my family might have a decorating contest. I am going to make these stands that say “brightest egg”, “silliest egg”  and “most creative egg”, etc. and we’ll vote for the egg that best fits each “award” and then set the egg on its pedestal 🙂  Does your family decorate Easter eggs?  What’s your favorite method to dye them?

A departure…

Today’s releases are a departure from my normal releases.  They are all add-on packs to my March workshop A Peek At Our Week.

I’m so excited for the workshop, I have a few fabulous girls signed up and we are going to create an album that will be a treasure for their families today and for generations to come!  I wish I had more than just a few photos of my parents as kids. I wish I could see what their school looked like, what a typical day looked like, what my grandparents looked like as they sat around the dinner table as a family. That is what a Peek At Our Week is all about. It’s about capturing the typical, normal, mundane things that we take for granted today, but in 20, 50, 100 years our families will long to know.

I remember when my daughter figured out what that funny little box at the end of my parents’ driveway was…a mailbox! She had only known our big industrial-sized mailbox down the street and around the corner. She thought it was so cool just to walk down the driveway and get the mail 🙂  I wonder what her children will say some day about my industrial-sized mailbox, they may not even know what “snail mail” is in 15 years!!  So I want to make sure that I capture that ordinary, mundane, typical experience of 2013.  And this workshop is the way to do it!!

I have a fun new little album out this week.  It’s perfect for photos, as a journal or even an autograph book!

Birthday Bash!

I love this time of year because it’s birthday season here at the Nickels’ household. Aaron is getting too old for the cutesy themed party supplies at the party store, he wants his party to reflect his style. Ah, yes…scrapbook stash to the rescue! Here’s the invitation and thank you note set I’ll be using this year.

Here’s the invitation I made for Aaron’s party. I loved the way his face lit up when he saw it, he thought it was just perfect!

Now I have to admit, I’m running a bit behind…I’ve made the banner, but I haven’t printed it out yet. You’ll have to just picture the banner, the preview below gives you a glimpse.

I have however, printed out the cupcake wraps…do you see where my priorities are, lol!!!! 

In case you’re wondering, I used two coordinating kits for his party supplies, Dude from Litabelle Designs and Boyz Only from LDrag Designs.

The great thing about templates is that I can use them for my birthday party supplies, but you can use them for whatever you need them for!  Bonnie from my CT used the banner templates to make a fun little Valentine’s Day banner to decorate for her kids’ party.

And she made some cute little cupcake wrappers, too!

I also used a new kit from Snips and Snails Designs and Digilicious Designs called Warm Hearts to make some Valentine’s Day cupcake wrappers for my kids and DH, just to let them know I love them!

So whether it’s a birthday, a holiday or just because these birthday bash products are great for letting those around you know how special you think they are!
